What a privilege, what a right we have in Christ Jesus as ‘ Christians. It is beyond human reasoning and understanding, in that God through Jesus Christ has same prize for all those that serve Him faithfully to the end. There is no disparity in God's , reward for those who are his. He has promised life everlasting to everyone that obeys him unto the end.
And I think this should be a motivating factor to all Christians. This exactly was what Apostle was trying to make known to the Corinthians brethren that they all have chances of winning the prize of crown which is incorruptible, meant for those who run their race to a successful end. Unlike in the world that many people run but only one person receives the prize. Here, we can alsosee that God's ways and thoughts are quite different from ours just like His arithmetic differs from ours.
Therefore, let us run, not as those who are not sure of what to receive or obtain from God. But let us do the running with all our strength and might knowing fully well that we all have equal opportunities before Him that has called us to be his follower. And by this, we make our calling and election sure. Hence the certainty of winning a prize is obvious to everyone who accepted and obeyed God's will.
Today is another day that we have to reiterate this to our hearing and mind that the crown of life is for all Christians. To you beloved saints, I assure you that if you can conceive this and believe it, it shall surely be your portion. Our God is not partial just as we are, neither is He respecter of persons but has great honour for those who fear him, and work righteously .
God's intention toward us Christians is that if we serve him according to his will he will surely reward us at the end of time equally.
This exactly Jesus has made clear in the parable of the workers in the vineyard which happens to be our text. There are some misconceptions going on in the mind of some Christians, thinking or believing that the number of years they have spent in the faith determines the quality of crown they will receive. And there are some who believe all they need to do to have ' the crown is just to be members of the Church of Christ. While some believe irrespective of their worldliness the crown will be theirs.
All these notions are wrong and contradictory to God's word. It is true that God wants us for everlasting living and thereby prepares crown for all.
Beloved saints in the Lord, let us avail ourselves this golden opportunity that is open to all by doing what we teach and vice versa, so as for this grace of crown for all Christians not to elude us.
