“Yes, Lord,” he answered.
The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.
In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”
“Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”
But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”
John the Baptist had the wilderness experience despite being born with a prophecy over his life about what He would accomplish for God.
Joseph was sold into slavery by His blood brothers. He was also thrown into the prison because he refused to commit adultery with Potiphar's wife (Genesis 39).
In the midst of all these challenges, God placed him higher above his enemies. Maybe our faith is being tested to the breaking point or we have been down so long that we feel God has abandoned us.
Maybe you're in a tough situation and see no way out. May be we even feel like giving it all up. Be assured that God is still at work shaping, leading and making us into what He planned for us to become only if we allow Him in our lives.
God uses certain experiences of life to develop our character and to humble us in the plan He has for us.
There is hardly any one used by God who does not have a story of such experi nce to tell. John the Baptist had the wilderness experience, David spent years in the wilderness as a fugitive, Joseph was sent to prison for an offence he did not commit.
Gideon doubted God and was an unexpected leader.
God‘s call is about transforming and changing His people to conform to His will; as He is more interested in the success of our attitude and character more than the success of our situations. The making process will make us abound in the fruits of the Spirit.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Against such things there is no law to learn patience as a virtue, a fast moving car driver may need to get tied down behind a slow-moving truck.
In every simple life events, anyone willing to be used by God need to learn some lessons to shape and mould us more in the likeness of our Father.
It‘s more about our availability than our abilities. If we make ourselves available, God can shape for His divine purpose.
Regardless of whether you find yourself in an unknown situation or God makes you wait for what seem like an eternity, Believe God anyway in the face of what seem like a challenging circumstance.
Faith is like a muscle, the more you use it the bigger and stronger it gets. The more we walk with God in faith, the more it will be harder to doubt than believe.
God is the perfect potter and we are the clay, have faith and allow Him mould, make and shape you into His vessel of honour worthy of use for His glory.
Have A Blessed Day
