Different experiences are part of life, one way or the other, we will face different issues that tend to make us unstable in some certain ways, our responses to these kind of situations do affect our Joy if we fail to act against it. And when our Joy is taken away, we do things with frustration. So, it is expedient to see what our Lord Jesus christ has to say concerning the issue of joy.

While Jesus was teaching one day, he made this statement:
John 15:11 KJVS
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
That his joy may remain, his joy! His joy isn't affected or dictated by circumstances, it is eternal in nature and he said it will remain with us, this duly reveal to us that we have joy already. It is part of the package we received! This joy in us is above all circumstances, so we don't let our mind be affected by situations, we ought to channel forth the abundance Jesus's joy in us.
In the epistles, men filled with the spirit of Christ taught us that:
Philippians 4:4 KJVS
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice
Why should we rejoice always? Because we have his joy already in us, we are conquerors, and nothing can overthrown this joy.
Romans 5:3a NLT
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials,
We rejoice, always! No matter what happened, we must never let our joy disappear! It must take the supremacy over everything we do or what ever happens around us.
Philippians 3:1 NLT
Whatever happens, my dear brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord. I never get tired of telling you these things, and I do it to safeguard your faith.
