Peace is a commodity everyone yarns for. The rich, the poor; the old, the young; the literate and illiterate, all alike long for peace. There is nothing man has no tried in order to have peace but unfortunately could not. Why? Either because the way of peace is hide from their eyes or they willfully ignored it. Jesus wept over Jerusalem saying
"If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this day, the things which belong unto thy peace! But now they are his from thine eyes"
What takes away peace? Sin, which is the source of all evil. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth and everything that was created was declared good until man fell into sin and lost the glory and fellowship of God( Gen 1:1,10&28).
Since the fall, the heart of man; his life and the world at large, have never known peace. Wickedness and evil thoughts lurk in the heart of man continually (Gen 6:5)
"There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked " Isaiah 57:21
The manifestation is vividly clear today. Mass media reports confirmed, on daily basis, the occurrence of conflict, broken homes, corruption, sexual perversion, unusual diseases and pestilences. Common also are the reports of terrorism, assassination, famine and natural disasters. The way if peace must be known.
Until the prince of peace is invited into the heart, man can never experience peace. Unless the prince of peace takes over the rule, the world can never know peace. Who then is this prince of peace?.....JESUS.
