Hello God's people peace be with you all
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night shall not cease (Genesis 8: 22)
When Noah and his family came out of the Arch into a new era and to begin a new life, God reminded them of His laws and precepts that were in place to govern and regulate life, events and activities on earth. Call it Karma, Murphy Law, Natural Laws, or whatever, it's just a reminder that you are not in charge of this life on earth, not in 2018, and not in 2019 also. God is the One in charge.
He told Noah, and his descendants, of which you and I are part, that as long as the world exists, and we have breath in us, there will be a time for planting and a time for reaping what we have planted, there will always be cold time and heat time, summer time and winter time, and day time and night time. You and I can do better my using wisdom and knowledge to prepare ourselves for them based on the opportunities and the resources we have so that we don't break ourselves into pieces, but live a beautiful and appropriate life, in harmony with the divine laws and precepts that govern life.
The wise King Solomon expanded this precepts of God for us when he said, "There is a season (an appointed time or a set time) for everything and a time (an appropriate time) for every activity under heavens. A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to harvest, a time to keep silent and a time to speak, a time for war and a time for peace. This is the task God has given to mankind, with which to occupy themselves. He God has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time (Eccl 3: 1 -11).
Dear, don't break the beautiful and appropriate things God has done for a beautiful and fruitful life. Rather learn the truths and the lessons and conform your life to them this year. I can categorically say that the Europeans and the advanced countries have knowledge and understanding to these issues of life and prepare well for them than we in developing countries. Most of the time we are so ignorant and naive as to allow ourselves and our society to break these laws which in turn break us into pieces as a people. John Maxwell once said, 'we don't break God's law rather we break ourselves on His law'. That is fearful.
Apostle Paul exhorted the Galatia Christians with the same line of thought, "Do not be deceived, for God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows this he will reap (Gal 6: 7). Note this, God will not allow Himself to be ridiculed or to be treated with contempt, or allow His precepts (laws) to be scornfully set aside. Not even angels are allowed, or christians, or advanced countries or poor countries. And so is neither you nor I are allowed. It wasn't in 2018 and it won't be in 2019 too.
Paul warns Christians that if they live for their flesh, they would reap ruin and destruction and if they live for the Spirit (and the Lord is the Spirit), they would reap eternal life and blessings. So they should not be weary in doing good to all people and especially to those who belong to God when the have the opportunity, for in due season they would reap a good harvest of blessings (Gal 6: 8 -10). This is a timely knowledge that would be a difference maker in 2019 in your life, if you can understand this and conform your life to it.
So as you begin the task of living life through this new year, don't live your life in ignorance and by your failing traditions, but by these eternal truths and precepts of God. And your life would be blessed, fruitful and beautiful in its time.
May you have the opportunity to sow and plant good seeds that you wouldn't regret to reap its fruits when the harvest time comes. And may the Good God we serve be your guide and helper in Jesus name. Amen....!
