Hello amiable Parishioners, today I would like to share with you The Principles Of Giving.
Giving, whether it is payment of our tithes, offering to God, or giving to the poor, less privileged or loved ones has its principles.

In Genesis 8 vs 20-22, we have an account of Noah making an offering unto God immediately after the flood. The offering was a sweet savour to God. We can see the tremendous blessing brought in this passage:
Genesis 8:20-22
Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done. “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”

There are different types of giving.
1.Giving from a willing heart
2.Giving in love
and
3.Giving in Faith
Though these outlined types of giving are intertwined, and we shall elucidate on their distinctiveness.
1.Giving from a willing heart.
this is not what you do just because others are doing it, it is not what you do only out of your emotion.
It should not be grudgenly but, cheerfully from your heart.

2nd corinthians 9:6-9 says:
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
