Glenfiddich Reflections
As most parishioners would know by now, this Knight takes great pleasure in ending the work week with a glass or two of Whiskey. A very pleasant way to simply sit back, relax, consider the week that was and the weekend that is going to be.
A time to give thanks and a time to reflect. And a chance to enjoy many of the amazing #steemchurch posts, which a Knight must simply skim during his busy week.
Tonight I savour a 12 year old Glenfiddich Scotch Whisky. Another fine drop. Though it must be said, this Knight has never had a bad Scotch - because he can always add a dash of coke or dry. Tonight's Glenfiddich though, is tasting just lovely on the rocks. A true credit to Brian Kinsman, the innovative Malt Master behind this award winning single malt.
With drink in hand - it is now time to reflect.
SteemChurch Smart Media Tokens
Understandably, Steem is abuzz with excitement after this week's announcement of a new SteemChurch SMT - view to be launched as soon as the Steem Devs give us the go ahead.

Since the grand announcement was made a couple of days ago, this Knight has found himself in conflict. He has done an awful lot of soul searching and he has had to look skyward for guidance.
And this Knight has come to a decision. A few decisions in fact.
1 - There of course will be a SteemChurch SMT; however,
2 - No, there will not be a capital raising.
3 - No, not everyone will be able to participate.
You, the parishioners of SteemChurch have worked too hard. Way too hard to give up this wonderful community we have created to rich whales.
SteemChurch belongs to us and with us it is going to stay!
There will not be an ICO. There will not be an ICO white paper.
Because SteemChurch will simply be giving the tokens to YOU - the SteemChurch parishioners.
'Oh my goodness'
(I hear you think.)
That is right, you read that correctly. We will be a community, with our own tokens, our own reward pool and we will all be blessed. What we will NOT do however... is sell our community to speculators.
Our tokens might not be worth anything to anyone else - but do you know what? They will be worth a lot to this Knight! Because this Knight knows the good nature of all the parishioners of the Steemchurch. He knows how hard you work to support your families. He understands that you come here in a bid to improve your lives and to spread the values of our Lord... and he only wishes he could do more to help.
When our tokens arrive, this Knight will not see them as tokens, he will see them as blessings. And he will give blessings to the masses and he will accept blessings. And our lives will be abundant with blessings. For one day, these blessings from God will be all one needs.
One is also reminded of the Sermon on the Mount...
Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.
Naturally your next question is... SirKnight, to whom and how will the tokens be distributed?
The answer to this lies with the Apostles. A select few are now busy listing those parishioners whom have contributed to the Church over recent months and to what extent. The blessing will be distributed according to the lists.
Our SMT will give many parishioners an identity, who have perhaps lived outside of the SteemChurch resteems. For at the moment two annoying little rodents virtually determine if a post is good or not. Soon however 50-100 parishioners will have meaningful voting power to influence our rewards at our Church - and this will grow to more in time.
These are exciting times for the SteemChurch and this could very well be a new dawn for Christianity. And our success or failure will be determined by just one person...
