When I hear the word Christianity, I get confused as to how to define it. Different persons have concluded in their own perspective what they think Christianity means.
I believe Christianity is a lifestyle, it is beyond being a religion. It is the way a person lives his life. JESUS came and defined what it meant with HIS lifestyle; HE had to make man understand that following HIS foot-steps makes them CHRIST-like.
And when the people at Antioch saw the disciples, they saw CHRIST all over. His love for the gospel, His passion towards sinners and they understood that these were followers of CHRIST, they were an example of CHRIST and they called them Christians.
Our lifestyle is what defines Christianity. Pagans are described by their lifestyle. Sometimes our words do not mean much if it is not accompanied by the right attitude to convey what we mean; there is more truth in actions than in words.
Most people think because they are not Muslims or Buddhists that that is why they are called Christians. Christianity is not just what you choose, it is who you choose; the GOD behind that religion. The gods are what we serve not the concept.
I realized that many find themselves in the religion without fully understanding what it curtails, hence many do not take their authority in CHRIST and that still brings them under the oppression of the devil making them slaves to his will and that is because of ignorance.
Many so-called christians see it as a struggle to go to church, many claim it's not important. If the place where sacrifices are made is not important then those who visit native doctors ought not be there to take instructions and perform certain rites.
It is important that you are in the place of worship. Paul says we shouldn't despise the gathering of the brethren.
Christianity gives you an awareness that you are a representative of CHRIST here on earth.
Do you know that JESUS saw your need for Him? He concurred with His father without arguments to come and save you without your knowledge of Him, the only way we are expected to pay Him back is by being Christians, living our lives in a CHRIST-like manner, so we are not judged wrongly; each time that happens we hurt GOD because everywhere He went even demons recognized Him as the Son of GOD.That means alot.
He represented His father here on earth and men knew this was a different person from the rest. He identified Himself with people of like mind, people that wanted to attain a spiritual level (James and John). These men were ready to work for GOD, ready to share with His burden and sufferings.
They loved the way Jesus was committed and they wanted to be just like Him.
There is no point running away from GOD, He will always outrun you instead run into Him.
Christianity makes that possible.
