Because we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God arranged in advance for us to put them into practice.
Ephesians 2:10
Many have compared the world to a theater, and to humans with actors. We are all protagonists of the drama of life, we try to interpret our role as best as possible to convince the spectators. Our deepest desire is to reap applause and praise that may even never come; in that case we will think we have been reprobated in our performance.
In reality, life is not a masquerade, nor is it a theatrical work in which human beings represent characters, but without really being who we appear to be. Life on this earth is a reality that we must face authentically. We need to be what we are, without masks or simulations. We have to show ourselves natural, real, sincere, as we are.
Being genuine, honest, truthful and trustworthy is the best we can do in order to achieve success: Those who use masks and costumes to hide who they really are, at some point they will feel tired or tired. And, sooner rather than later, his theater will be discovered.
Are we transparent in our way of acting? Or have we become accustomed to using costumes and masks to relate to the world around us? And I do not mean to be hypocrites, but to the way in which we project our own image towards others. Psychologists say that human beings usually have a threefold inner concept: what we want others to think about us, what we think about ourselves, and what we know we really are. When these three aspects are not in harmony, we use disguises and masks to show our image that is not real. Something that hurts interpersonal relationships and produces internal frustrations.
The Bible exhorts us to be transparent in our way of acting. «Therefore, dispose to act with intelligence; have self-control; put your hope completely in the grace that will be given to you when Jesus Christ is revealed "(1 Peter 1.13).
«But even if you act with rectitude you have to suffer, happy you! Do not be afraid of anyone, do not be afraid, but honor Christ as Lord in your hearts. Be always ready to respond to all who ask you for a reason for the hope you have "(1 Peter 3.14-15).
The word mascara comes from the Greek word: "kjafás", which means: disguise, conceal, hide, distort, pretend.

Let's discover our talents and let's use them. We all have them and, by God's design, they are different in each case. We are unique individuals. Do not try to be a different person, dare to be who we are, ourselves. Let us not entertain the idea that others are better than us, because it will make us lose sight of who we are and what we are capable of doing with the help of God.
Friend, act today with the confidence that you are a person endowed with qualities and that you have to develop them according to your own style. Do not try to pretend what you are not, for you will live with the latent fear that others will discover who is hiding behind your masks. On the other hand; By scrutinizing your life, you will probably discover that you have flaws and weaknesses. If that is the case, assume them honestly. That will make you remember that for everything that is impossible for you, God has a way out and an answer.
