Genesis 2:18; 21-24 "And the LORD God said, It is not good for the man to be alone; and I will make a helper fit for him. (21) Then Jehovah God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and while he slept, he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. (22) And from the rib that Jehovah God took of man, he made a woman, and brought her to man. (23) Then Adam said: This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; it will be called a varona, because it was taken from the man. (24) Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and they shall be one flesh. "

Marriage is an honorable state instituted and established by our God, in the Garden of Eden, with the first human couple, which were Adam and Eve. According to the word of our God, the nature of marriage is the union of a couple (man and woman) for all the life that God gives them in this world.
a) Our Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew: 19: 6,8-9 "So they are no longer two, but one flesh; therefore, what God has joined together, let man not separate him. (8) He said to them: Moses, because of the hardness of your heart, allowed you to repudiate your wives; more at the beginning it was not like that. (9) And I say to you that whoever repudiates his wife, except for the cause of fornication, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries the one who is disowned, commits adultery. "
b) It also says in Romans 7: 2-3 "because a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives; but if the husband dies, she is freed from the law of the husband. (3) So, if in the life of the husband he is united to another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that if she joins another husband, she will not be an adulteress. "
1. PURITY IN MARRIAGE:
According to the will of our God, marriages must maintain a pure, clean and honorable relationship, without falling into degenerations or immoralities of a sexual or moral nature, maintaining their relationship in holiness before God.
a) It says in Hebrews 13: 4 "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers will be judged by God. "
b) He also says in 1 Thessalonians 4: 3-5 "For the will of God is your sanctification; that you depart from fornication; (4) that each one of you knows how to have his own wife in holiness and honor; (5) not in passion of concupiscence, as Gentiles who do not know God. "
- PURPOSES OF MARRIAGE
a) A fundamental purpose of marriage is companionship, support and consolation, that husbands should pay each other, as long as they both live. It says in Genesis 2:18 "And the LORD God said: It is not good for a man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him. "Proverbs 18:22 says," He who finds a wife finds good, and gains the favor of the Lord. "
b) Another fundamental purpose of marriage, is to inspire joy and mutual love, in the couple, their family and their neighbors. It says in Proverbs 5: 18-19 "Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice with the wife of your youth." (19) Like a beloved doe and a graceful gazelle. Your caresses satisfy you at all times, and in your love, always rejoice. "
c) Another fundamental purpose, is that the children that our God grants to the married couples, be raised in Holiness, because they are an inheritance of the Lord, and they are going to continue the work of our God, and should be an example for the world, of the redeeming work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It says in Psalm 127: 3-5 "Behold, the children are the heritage of the Lord; thing of esteem the fruit of the belly. (4) Like arrows in the hand of the valiant, so are the sons of youth. (5) Blessed is the man who filled his quiver with them; he will not be ashamed when he speaks to the enemies at the door. "We can not fail to quote what the Bible says in Proverbs 22: 6" Train the child in his way, and when he is old he will not depart from it. "
d) Finally, we can say that the other fundamental purpose of marriage is to prevent or avoid immorality in human beings. He says in 1 Corinthians 7: 2, "But because of sexual immorality, everyone has his own wife, and each one has her own husband."
3. OBLIGATIONS OF MARRIAGE
God entrusts certain obligations to both spouses within the marriage, so that in this way, married life works in perfect peace, and full of blessings of all kinds, both spiritual and material.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE HUSBAND
a) Husbands should love, respect and care for their wives as the Bible teaches us in Ephesians 5: 25-28 "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church, and gave himself up for her (26) To sanctify it, having purified it in the washing of water by the word, (27) in order to present it to itself, a glorious church, which had no stain or wrinkle or anything similar, but was holy and without blemish (28) So also husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife, loves himself. "
b) The husbands must be responsible for the material and economic maintenance of their wife and children, endeavoring with the help of God to provide their families with all the necessary economic goods, for their maintenance in general, (food, clothing, house , studies, etc.) according to the blessings God gives you. It says in 1 Timothy 5: 8 "For if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his house, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."
OBLIGATIONS OF THE WIVES
a) Wives should love, respect and be subject to their husbands, obeying them in all that is good and that does not go against the sound doctrine of the gospel. They must be good administrators of their house, prudent, chaste, careful of their home and of their children. It says in Titus 2: 3-5 "The old women likewise be reverent in their bearing; not slanderers, not slaves of wine, teachers of good; (4) to teach young women to love their husbands and children, (5) to be prudent, chaste, careful at home, good, subject to their husbands, so that the word of God is not blasphemed. "
THE BIBLE TEACHES US THE AUTHORITY AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITY IN THE FAMILY HOME, GOD IS CONFERRED TO HUSBANDS.
a) It says in Ephesians 5: 22-24 "Let married women be subject to their husbands, as to the Lord; (23) because the husband is the head of the woman, just as Christ is the head of the church, which is his body and he is his Savior. (24) So, as the church is subject to Christ, so are married women to their husbands in everything. "
b) He also says in 1 Peter 3: "You husbands, also live with them wisely, giving honor to the woman as the weakest vessel, and as co-heirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers do not disturb you. "
LAST WE CAN SEE THE INTIMATE MARRIAGE OBLIGATION IN EVERY MARRIAGE.
1 Corinthians 7: 3-5 "The husband fulfills the wife's conjugal duty, and so does the wife with the husband. (4) The woman has no power over her own body, but the husband; neither does the husband have authority over his own body, but the wife. (5) Do not deny each other, except for some time of mutual consent, to occupy yourselves peacefully in prayer; and come together again in one, so that Satan will not tempt you because of your incontinence. "
CONCLUSION:
Living marriages according to the word of God, brings as a consequence, great happiness and great prosperity of all kinds, spiritual, physical and material. Not obeying God, according to these commandments that he has given us, only brings misery, affliction and great suffering to the whole family.
