Perceiving false prophets
False prophets have dependably existed even from antiquated circumstances. In the times of John Gnosticism was an exceptionally prevalent precept. It was loaded with high sounding learning and encouraged that man is soul and in this manner anything done in the substance was insignificant and accordingly not wicked. It denied that Jesus Christ came in the substance. What's more, some are showing a few things like this today.
In our days there are numerous who call themselves prophets and claim to represent God. Similarly as false prophets possessed large amounts of John's days, they are likewise in our middle today, talking sugar-covered words and instructing jabber. God needs us to painstakingly weigh what they say and contrast these and what has been uncovered in the Sacred writings (v. 2); what does that prophet say in regards to who Jesus Christ is? Does he give Him His legitimate position as uncovered in the Sacred texts? Note the attributes of false prophets (v. 3, 2 Peter2: 1, Jeremiah 28: 1-17, Deut. 13; 1-3, Jeremiah 23; 13-14.)
Think about v.4; the establishment of our triumph over false prophets. May we not be individuals who create tingling ears for each sort of misleading convention. Keep in mind who we truly tune in to issues and says something in regards to our identity (w.5&6).
