Ezekiel 37: 1-10 The hand of the LORD came on me, and carried me away in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me in the midst of a valley that was full of bones. 2 And he brought me near them all around; and behold, there were many of them on the face of the field, and certainly very dry. 3 And he said to me, Son of man, will these bones live? And I said: Lord Yahweh, you know it. 4 Then he said to me, Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. 5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones: Behold, I will bring a spirit in you, and ye shall live. 6 And I will put sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come up on you, and I will cover you with skin, and I will put a spirit in you, and you will live; and you will know that I am Jehovah. 7 So I prophesied, as I was commanded; and there was a noise while I prophesied, and behold, a trembling; and the bones joined each bone with its bone. 8 And I looked, and behold, sinews upon them, and the flesh came up, and the skin covered them above; but there was no spirit in them. 9 And he said unto me, Prophesy unto the spirit, prophesy, son of man, and say unto the spirit, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Spirit, come from the four winds, and blow on these dead, and they shall live. 10 And I prophesied as he had commanded me, and the spirit entered into them, and they lived, and stood on their feet; an army great in the extreme.
Here it says that the prophet Ezekiel was taken to a valley that was full of dry bones, it was as if there was a war and a great army had perished and their bodies had disintegrated and only the bones remained. To those bones God commanded to prophesy the prophet Ezekiel, and while he prophesied the bones began to unite with each other forming the skeletons of human beings, then tendons and flesh appeared, finally God told him to come back to prophesy all those bodies without life and while he prophesied to them those bodies received life and were like a great army. What God is showing the prophet is the following: Israel was an army but because they had separated from God they were reduced to dry bones that had no life, because where God is not, there is no life. John 1: 4 "In him was life, and life was the light of men" John 3: 36 "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who refuses to believe in the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God is upon him. All the captive Jews who were by the river Chebar in Babylon and even the city of Jerusalem were like dry bones. in their spiritual condition, but when the prophet preached to them they would receive life. That is the message that is shared with you this day, "Hope for the dry bones," hope for those who are dead in their trespasses and sins Ephesians 2: 1 And he gave you life, when you were dead in your crimes and sins.
There are words of hope today, words that will give life as the prophetic message that the prophet Ezekiel gave to all those dry bones. John 5: 21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to those he loves. Psalm 16: 10 "For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will you allow your saint to see corruption." However difficult it is to see your problem, need, vicissitude, there is an answer, there is a way out, because God creates things from where there is none.
The Word of God creates life
When God said his Word, what he said was executed, the flowers were created, the animals appeared, the waters parted, and every time God speaks, things are created. Matthew 8: 8 The centurion answered and said: Lord, I am not worthy to enter under my roof; just say the word, and my servant will heal. God told Moses to use the rod that was in his hand symbol of the Word of God and when Moses used it, the sea opened in two. The servants of God when they use His Word there is hope, life is created where there is death. The Word of God transforms lives, when healthy wounds are used, quenches thirst, breaks chains and frees the captives, 1Corinthians 1:18 "For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are lost; but to those who are saved, that is, to us, it is the power of God."
The valley of the dry bones is a way to describe the material and spiritual condition that the people of Israel had, but that before the message of the prophet they would receive life in God. Every time we walk in this life without God we will resemble the valley of dry bones. If you are in that condition remember God can give you life and life in abundance. John 11: 25 "Jesus said to him: I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, even though he is dead, will live."
