Sunday afternoon, weather is bad, I'm not feeling to well, nothing much planned for the day except maybe just hoping an idea for a great blog post would come around. But those ideas don't just present themselves, when your mind is buzzing with boredom. Browsing around Youtube didn't help much either, I just saw Justin Bieber do a drum solo, the horror. What has been seen, can never be unseen. And what's worse, he actually plays the drums better than I do.
As a last resort, I'm staring at a webpage right now:
7 Ways to Beat the Boredom Blues
What challenges are you currently stressing over? Is it financial problems, weight issues, depression, or a lack of energy? Could it be self-esteem or relationship problems? Those are truly legitimate concerns, but did you ever consider that many of those issues may actually be symptoms of a less obvious or hidden problem?

Whoa. Financial problems? Weight issues? Depression, lack of energy? Lack of self-esteem or relationship problems? Uh.. no. I'm actually doing quite good with my life, thank you. I'm attending Steemfest2 with my wife this November, so things couldn't be better, I think. I'm just having a lazy sunday and the inspiration for a blog post isn't really coming along.. But OK, let's move on with it..
What hidden problem?
Underlying and contributing to these other problems, an epidemic of chronic boredom is draining the joy out of the lives of millions of people these days.
It’s affecting them emotionally, physically and financially. It’s robbing them of their happiness, and taking a big toll on the quality if their lives and relationships.
I am not talking about the kind of boredom that comes from not having anything to do. We all have plenty to do! In fact, having too much to do might be a contributor.
Ok, great, thank you advanced life skills website, now I am getting depressed with the sore state of humankind these days. We are all too stressed out, I guess, from all the responsibilities we have, from our demanding jobs, from all the attention that is constantly required from us, whether that summoning comes from social media, our kids, our coaches, or our inner voices that set us up to meet ridiculous standards and we feel like a failure when not living up to what is expected of us... So maybe, this is not the right message for at this time. I'm actually just having a lazy sunday and I'm sure this has nothing to do with having too much on my plate at the moment. Slowly, a feeling of being blessed is creeping up on me. I'm realizing there so much to be thankful for, especially when I think of how a lot people suffer from the burdens that life brings them. And to think that being jealous of Justin Bieber is my biggest problem at the moment...

- How about a vacation? A really nice vacation can break up the boredom, and get you feeling all fired up and excited. Vacations are a great idea, and I think it is extremely beneficial to take them regularly.
OK. I stopped reading there. This is a great idea! I already have flight tickets TO Lissabon, but no return tickets yet. I'll just go back to Holland later, and make this Steemfest trip a mini-holiday!
Here we go!!
