The ABILIFY MYCITE is an ingestable pill with an embedded sensor to detect if a patient has consumed prescribed medication. There are a few other components required to make this pill work. They include a sensor patch, the MYCITE smartphone app and the web-based secure Dashboard portal.

It was designed specifically to help mental health patients with the following conditions stay on track with their medication regimen:
- Schizophrenia
- Bipolar I disorder
- Major Depressive Disorder
Physicians are also of the opinion that the pill can be used by patients who tend to forget to take their medication.
