An app that lets you get discounts in your local community stores when you walk.
Users walk and based on the data from their phone's health app, Jaywalk will credit "Jaycoins"(not a cryptocurrency) of which they can use to get discounts at supporting brick-mortar shops. The coins reset every night so users must walk everyday to enjoy daily discounts, no accumulation allowed.
I like the idea and vision behind the creation of this app. Local shops need customers in the community for support, while people need an incentive to walk and keep fit. Jaywalk can be the bridge to help both happen.
While it depends on the local community to first apply as merchants on the app and users in the area walking to get the discounts - thereby causing the "chicken/egg problem". It is certainly an interesting app to try out if it means hoping to get some discounts at your local shop.
