Hunter's comment
The I3C is a non-invasive method to monitor the blood antigen levels of cancer patients via protein antigen
markers in the blood.
This device will allow physicians to know whether a patient is in remission or a recurrence by monitoring the patient's antigen levels.
The I3C works with porous Silicon which is a bio-degradable substance that is ingested by the patient on daily basis. The porous silicon is harmless to the human body as is dissolves completely in the bloodstream.
The I3C can detect 9 specific cancer antigens which include the following:-
. Prostate
. Ovarian
. Pancreatic
. Lung
. Gastrointestinal
. Colorectal
. Uterus
. Cervix
. Alzheimers
The components used in I3C were carefully chosen based on funtionality and best practice. It has the following components.
. Lithium-ion rechargeable battery
. Near Infra red phototranceiver
. Operational Amplifier
. 8-bit resolution analog FPGA
. Two data acquisition microcontrollers
. Cellular modem
. WAN
