Gefertec's 3DMP process enables the engineers' planning data to be transferred to the arc welding machine as CAD data. This data is then broken down into digital print layers as CAM models. This manufacturing process eliminates work such as cutting, milling, joining, coating and forming and thus saves up to 60 % compared to conventional production. 3DMP uses wire and no powder in the arc welding process, so the material utilization is almost 100%. It offers many advantages over powder due to its ease of processing and storage.
