Forest fires are increasingly frequent and more intense, require more water and larger aircraft to store such quantities, which makes operations in fires are very expensive, it is estimated that more than 300 million hectares per year are consumed by fire. ¨FSM¨ is a new technology created by an Australian company ¨Wildfire Suppression Pty Ltd¨ designed to suppress forest fires in aerial and economic form.
¨Fire Suppression Munition¨ is a device that allows to be launched from a small plane or a traditional helicopter, very safe since it only detonates when hitting the ground of a well considered height. The "SFM" is very effective, by detonating in the center of the fire it sprinkles water in a diameter of three meters, absorbing heat and oxygen, which causes the fire to stop automatically.
