D-Wave 2000Q System
D-wade 2000Q System is build with "qubits" rather than "bits". which could perform quantum computing algorithm to solve very hard problems. It explores the quantum mechanical effects to provide a new computational resource.
It is design to withstand extreme temperatures. It is build with a "fridge" that operates in a close dilution refrigerator. The quantum processor is cold down to 0.015 Kelvin ( -271 degree Celcius). This ensures that the superconducting processor will generate no heat.
In addition, D-wave is build with a unique shielding which is 50,000x less than the Earth magnetic field inside a high vacuum enclosure, 10 billion times less than atmospheric pressure. It has also a 200 I/O lines. BY the way, it has a better power consumption management as compared to other supercomputers. It runs with at most power at 15.5 kW.
D-wave processors enables to sort out all possibilities simultaneously to determine the lowest energy and optimal answer.
