The mobile phone was a phenomenal innovation and even more so was the iPhone. It led to development of a whole ecosystem and made mobiles an everyday necessity.
However, with smartphones, came new updates every year and now, we buy a phone every one or two years. What that leads to is clutter and electronic waste and the situation has worsened since now we have laptops, tablets, smartwatches and more.
Addressing this global waste is important and EcoATM is one such sustainability innovation. What it is is a small kiosk using which you can declutter your household and recycle all unwanted devices for cash. Most global brands are accepted by the kiosk. There is also an app that you can use to find a kiosk and get a quote for your device.
Truly a great innovation and a key step towards sustainability.
