This is a digital thermometer based on infrared waves , forget about past thermometers. In old time drs use analog thermometer which take 10 minute to give you the result , if you baby has fever doctor take long time, but with this digital thermometer you can check any body temperature with in a second. This infrared meteor can give you result into Fahrenheit or Celsius.If you are not using this meter for some time it will be turned off automatically,In such condition you can also check whether through it because it can also read minus Celsius Temperature.
