If you're looking for high end Noise Cancelling Headphones then consider the Bowers & Wilkins PX.
They are more stylish than the similar priced BOSE noise cancelling headphones and have more features, like auto sensing to pause the music when you aren't listening and to pop them into standby mode when you take them off.
And with three optimised background filters for City, Flight, and Office you'll be sure to be listening to the sounds you want to hear.
On a side note I would like to see a setting for cancelling the 'Annoying Boss' ambient sounds, one regularly finds in an office setting.
