When you have a medical emergency, like maybe a stroke or accident, leaves you unable to control your hands like you once could, then you generally want to recover the use of your hands and need to go through rehabilitation for it. But maybe it can be quite tedious to do, and you want to practice at home without needing a nurse to guide you all the time.
The RAPAEL smart glove is a new rehabilitation tool that enhances the experience. It's equipped with sensors and connects to an app - and the app lets you choose games to play to make rehabilitation experience more enjoyable, and lets you open up data and graphs for viewing to monitor your progress!
From looking around, it seems like it's mostly clinics that would own the glove, but I did see a price quote of around $100 a month for personal rental of a glove. I guess you don't want to own one forever, after all you do want to heal up and not need this anymore at some point!
