CellProfiler is an open-source software specially made to help biologists who have not undertaken computer vision training or programming to effectively measure phenotypes from a large quantity running into thousands automatically. CellProfiler can actually analyze many most common and very tiny image formats.
CellProfiler can be used Biologists typically to recognize objects of attention (e.g. C. elegans worms, cells, colonies) after which their properties of are also measured. Object segmentation or identification can be carried out through image threshold or machine learning, detection and separation of clumped objects, and elimination or integration of objects on the basis of dimension or outline.
The developers include; Anne Carpenter, Thouis Jones, Lee Kamentsky, Allen Goodman, Claire McQuin, and others (Broad Institute). Any python based operating system can serve. The type of this software is in the class ofImage processing & Image analysis.
