At first, Microsoft was the first to showcase similar technology which is Microsoft Surface Studio. Audience was amazed by the concept brought by Microsoft
Then, a couple of months later Dell introduce their own version of drawing surface tablet.
Named as Dell Canvas, it is a 27" inch touchscreen monitor. Yes, you read it right. 27" inch monitor with touch or pen input capability, and it is specifically customized for drawing. Just imagine, 27" inch of working surface for artist.
On your work desk, it can be positioned horizontally like normal monitor. Or you can place it flat on your table, use is like a drawing pad.
Oh yeah, if you have seen the demo for Microsoft Surface, you'll notice that there is an accessories called Microsoft Surface Dial. Guess what, Dell also have the same thing; Totem, which works exactly like Microsoft Surface Dial - show and control additional menus in compatible application such as Adobe, Autodesk and Microsoft.
Pro:
- 27" inch of drawing area
- Precision input pen with natural writing feature
- Cheaper alternative compared to Microsoft Surface Studio
Con:
- the space required to put 27" inch humongous monitor
- all accessories require battery to operate
