it's certainly a product i would recommend if you want to get started in learning about solar power quickly because you can just hook it up knowing that you are trickling in a bit of power especially if you are somewhere get's a lot of sunshine.
if you can afford it go for a kit that has a deep cycle battery and a charge controller -- then you can do some real good projects like running a bunch of raspberry zero camera modules from a usb hub powered by one of those scooter batteries -- that way when the mains power goes off you still are capturing cctv footage
