not cheap but rugged and noiseless
i've been watching the products rolling out over the years for incar installations -- it's an area that i'm hoping to get into as the years progress, especially when we all have electrified transportation and we need to 'connect' to do our work or our personal blockchain of 'proof of life' job roles whatever they maybe (personally i hope i'm cleaning solar panel farms or some other eco job)
what i really love about this piece of in-car tech is not only does it support fairly up to date cpu's (although of course still vulnerable to cpu hacks, unfortunately) it also supports cameras DIRECT with PoE ports on the unit -- that's right no need for an additional switch just straight into the machine.
so not only could you manage all your networked wireless bullethole cameras inside (or out) of the van you could also do all your cellular networking bonded together and still have a machine to watch movies on, connect up external drives or NAS units and potentially use it as a streaming machine for when you are on the road.
at over £1300 it's not as cheap as maybe a desktop tower but you are getting all the benefits of the build for reliability including run quiet setup and very extreme handling of temps from super low to high.
if you are building for the vandwelling on the road life do yourself a favour and get one of these hooked up, you won't regret it! :)
