Most people only upvote posts because they are earning good money , but that isn't what steemit is for. Steemit is for liking the content which you have actually enjoyed reading and not to upvote posts which are popular so you can be one of the "cool kids" . Hiding the amount of dollars a person has earned from the post also has its negatives but the point is a good one.Â
