Why does STeemit ONLY support Youtube links? Why can't I post embedded links for Vimeo or Video.me or any mp4 streaming video for example!

By supporting Youtubes videos for embeddeing an ONLY youtube links, steemit is basically saying "We support youtube or video and ONLY youtube"

I know they are moving towards Bitchute but butchute isnt something anyone can just join, they reqire that you ALREADY HAVE an EXISTING youtube channl with many man followers! Its totally unfair!

Go ahead and try to signup to be a channel on bitchute! Its doesnt make any sense, its not decentralized at all!

How are we supposed to feel about this?!?!

and what is it about the code for steemit that allows only Youtube links to show up embedd and NO OTHER video liks?!?!? why cant I embedd any mp4 to play here?!?!

Youtube steals from its users, demonetizies without warning or reason and is pure evil! We cant be supporting youtube like this with ONLY supporting THEIR links for embed codes!
