This is a quick post to reiterate what sflaherty said in his post about HF19.
All day I have been going through the countdown until this was implemented to see what changes it would make. Personally I think the changes are great and it has finally given the newer and smaller users much more power with their votes.
However, all I have seen on the exchanges since HF19 is Steem being sold in droves and the price plummeting.
This is really hurting my head, I don't understand how such a positive result can trigger a sell off like this.
- Is it the newer users cashing out their new gains?
- Is it all users cashing out gains?
- Is there something I don't know?
There's clearly something going on that I am not fully aware of.
Hold you Steem
I feel like this is a time to tell everybody who is new here not to worry. In my opinion Steem is here for the long term and in a few months time the gains of today will be insignificant compared to what you will have then.
The best thing you can do right now is to Power up you Steem, use it to vote and make user of the new amazing rewards for the next few months. If we sell our gains now we will kill the price of the coin and we will all need to work that little bit harder to bring everything back up again.
Please, for everybody, hold your Steem.
Hopefully somebody in the comments can tell me why people are so keen to sell.
