I dont know about you but steemit is opening doors for me.
I was in the hospital recently. I was late because I had to resume first at my office, collect permission before leaving for the hospital. Meawhile, the hospital is a popular one and so has large number of patients everyday.
I got to the hospital by 8:30am. When I entered into the hospital , just as it has always been, I saw a large number of patients sitting and waiting for their turn to see the doctor. I also saw a ward maid, a female sitting by a table collecting the health card of patients. I greeted her, handed her my card but tried to plead with her that I needed to get back to my office because I wasnt given leave of absence. Instead, I was only permitted to sign exit form to go to the hospital.
To my surprise, she screamed at me and asked if all those sitting and waiting for their turn were jobless. I felt terrible and left and sat down. She was arrogant. That was so rude of her, but do I blame her? I wish I had all the time to wait. From my seat, I watched her with disgust as she moves up and down to submit the cards to the Doctors. I was angry each time I hear her voice call for next patient whenever she receives a call from the Doctors through the intercom.
At a point she was piling the cards on her table to allow the doctors attend to the ones she has already sent . Moreover, She began to play with her phone. Then I threw away my grievances and approached her again. I asked: ' Ma, have you heard of Steemit?' She asked what steemit is about. So briefly I told her it is a site where she can blog for free.
I had thought She was uneducated, just working as a maid in the hospital. But she told me She knows much about blogging. She said to blog, you need a website and getting a website isnt for free. She even mentioned the name of a popular blogger and his web address. I was happy. I let her know that steemit is different. With steemit you blog for free and when people like and upvote your work, you make money, they too earn.
She asked several questions and was pleased to know that steemit has no referal like MMM and others. I mean, refering someone to steemit or not , does not hinder your progress. She thanked me and said she will read more about steemit from their website and register. She didnt sieze that opportunity to apologize for her misbehaviour a while ago and I didnt mention it. I left for my sit.
To my surprise, the moment the last patient came out from the Doctor's office, my name was called to go in and see the Doctor. I was happy. I know some patients may raise eye brow but you see, I was already by the door. There's no stopping me from going in. Hahahaha. I even thought the Doctor will send me back cos there were so many files on his table. But he didnt. He attended to me and I thanked the ward maid and I left. The arrogant woman who wouldnt let me see the Doctor quickly, opened the door for me upon hearing about steemit. STEEMIT OPEN DOORS. Hahahaha. So true.
ANOTHER GOOD RESULTED
After seeing the Doctor, I left. Steemit gave me that opportunity. I left early, even before several who came hours before me. But then as I was leaving, a young man ran to me . I was wondering why. Is he stranded and need money? Does he need a girl friend? Hahaha. I dont know what to think. I granted him audience anyways. I was baffled with what i heard and what resulted. He told me he heard all I said about steemit and he wants to register. I couldnt believe it. He had recently finished NYSC and needs a job. Steemit for sure is a job. I was happy and we exchanged phone numbers, I told him we will talk more on phone.
I actually followed up, see our discussion on whatsapp screenshot from my phone
I look forward to seeing him on steemit and the ward maid too. I look forward to them doing great things on steemit. Steemit for sure is opening doors. I cant count how many times people have paid my bills in the salon or supermarket, just because I discussed steemit with them. Wherever you go or wherever you are, talk about steemit, it is a great news everyone will like to listen to. Do not be discouraged if they dont sign up or if they sign up butdidnt actually start up blogging. Not every one is meant to be rich, not every one is meant to blog and not everyone desire change for themselves. Some are alright with poverty. Hahahaha. But its true, many are alright with their comfort zone, which in reality shouldnt even be, yet more have settled for below average. Do your part, steemit opens doors.
For the ladies, who knows, that guy you introduced to steemit may end up being your husband. Hahahahaha, cos he wouldnt do without that girl who introduced him to a great fortune, an opportunity of a lifetime.
Thanks again for visiting.
I adore you.
With all my heart, always.
