I've been reading more and more posts recently about people ranting about Steemit and how the rewards pool is unfairly distributed.
Don't get me wrong I have too. In fact only just now I've had a debate with my mother about the unfair rewards we've been seeing. How some posts that honestly aren't great making hundreads of dollars and some fantastic posts making cents. But during this debate we both came to a mutual conclusion.
Really when you get down to the core of this it's jealously.
A natural human trait that infects us all. The unsuccessful being jealous of the successful.
Think about it for a minute, the steemians making hundreads of dollars every post have been on here from the beginning, they were early investors (the majority) that believed and invested time and money into steemit when just people like me didn't even know it existed.
They sank time and possibly money into this platform because they believed they would eventually reap the rewards, and guess what that's exactly what they are doing.
When you think about it like that, you can't for one minute be angry at the money they make from their posts, they've invested great time and money into the platform and probably helped create it into the success it is today either directly from early investment or indirectly through their support of the platform.
A new user who has just joined can't possibly expect to reap the same rewards unless they are very clever and find a niche that people genuinely can't get enough of.
That's not how the world works. No matter what you get into you have to build the success up, you can't expect to jump in and just make it.
So before jumping in and complaining about how certain members are draining the reward pool, think about what I've written and the next time you see an early investment opportunity like Steemit that you may reap the rewards from don't hesitate and take it!
