This weekend was Denver Comic Con and our panel Steemit: Writing on a Blockchain. Our panel was the first thing on Friday morning, not the best time slot but it worked out. The panel had @falseyedols; @geke; @lpfaust and myself. We got there around 8:50 a.m. to make sure that we had checked in on time. It was great to see the convention center all calm before everyone was let in.
When we got to the room it was still about 45 before the panel. So, of course, no one was there yet. This gave us time to take pictures and have some fun. As the time got closer our room volunteer asked a bit about our panel to help draw more people to come for our panel. Ending count of total attending was about 15 people.
These 15 people asked great questions and took notes throughout the panel. There where people who were brand new to any type of cryptocurrency and some others who knew about it but are not on Steemit. They wanted to know how they could use this platform to grow their following, as well as making money.
Social Wallet also gave us a code for a wallet and 10 free wire for anyone who creates a new account. Many of them took the information. So far 12 of them have scanned the QR code I created for the giveaway.
We had a great time and am looking forward to doing more panels like this. The whole experience was great and want to do it again. Conventions are a great way to share all this information.
Are there any conventions that you like to go to? Let us know maybe we can see if we can run a panel there too.
