I am still here. I know a lot of people have jumped the Steemit ship, but I am staying. Steemit, for me is more than just a social media platform. It is a way of taking my efforts out of the current system. My participation benefits me and those I upvote. The content is excellent, and worth my time.
I have not been personally active on the platform, but I am reading and following some of my favorites ,

just to name a few. I always upvote and comment when I have the time.
Here in Northern Alberta, things can get very hectic in the summer. Most years we have an 88-day window to grow a garden, raise a batch of chickens, go camping & hiking, take road-trips, and do outside maintenance on our homes and property. Once winter sets in, things become a bit more of a challenge. And many of our summer efforts are spent with the focus on getting ready for the coming winter.
I have been to Reno, Nevada for a seminar/memorial. I visited grown children two provinces away in Manitoba. I raised and butchered 52 organic, pastured chickens, and spent wonderful hours gardening with my Mother. This garden just kind of happened, but we started it because someone told us to 'just plant.' So we did.
The big summer push is gradually slowing down, because we have already gotten our first overnight frost. That means I will have more time to post content. I hope it adds value to the lives of those that take the time to read.
Thank you for stopping by.
