Milestone posts are not adding any value to the community, Instead here are my three tips on how to increase your chances of success on steemit.
Since I signed up on Steemit back in March this year I have learned a lot. In the beginning, I was ecstatic about the concept of steemit. I was so ecstatic that I immediately started posting. I would post anything, as I thought I could make some easy money in a hurry. I was wrong. I soon found out that steemit does not value copied posts, posts with no quality, posts that brings no value to the community etc. Now I know better. Now I have morphed into the spirit of steemit. I both try to create valuable original posts, as I also try to upvote the valuable posts.
Therefore I have decided to write about the most important things you will have to know and do to get success on steemit. I don't consider myself an expert at all, but with 1000+ followers and 1500+ posts, some might find my advice valuable.
Quality Content
The first and most important tips/advice is to create original and valuable posts, in other words, quality posts. You can have 5000+ followers but if you create shitty content, you are fucked. Steemit is a place where well written, original content is appreciated, therefore stop thinking about followers and start putting time into your articles. That leads us to the question, what is quality posts?
There is a huge amount of users who think steemit is a way to make quick money by just copy/pasting. That's not the case. The community is strong, therefore the power is strong in this one. The community knows that for the website to survive, and gain success, it needs to prove itself. For that to happen it needs to be quality posts that gain the most attraction. A quality post is, therefore, a post that is adding value to the community. Value is added to the community when you create content that can't be found on other websites when posted. By doing so we make a steemit a special place.
Be Like Rihanna
As in the music business, it surely helps if you are good looking. Maybe Rihanna would not have the success have the success she has if she was a fat and unattractive. The same goes for steemit. You have the opportunity to make your post look good, so why not. If you have created well-written quality content, you will no doubt improve your chances of higher payouts if you make it look good. To make it look good you need to learn the markdown guide. Not only will it look better, but it will make it a more enjoyable experience for the reader as well. Divide the text, highlight some, or maybe center your headline. Once you have found your style/template you like, you can simply copy/paste the template into word, and use it next time.
Write Like a Boss
We are a lot on steemit where English is not our native language. Therefore sometimes we make mistakes when we write. That's just how it is. I thought I was doing okay until I installed grammarly. I spell and write like English is not even a language I have learned. Therefore it might also be a help for some out there. Especially if your English is not that good it can really help you. Steemit values well-written posts and grammarly is your help.
