It feels like I am being robbed, since nothing in any explanations I saw, or rules, shows that this is supposed to happen.
(PS: Please see Edit at the end of this post, for an explanation of why we are NOT being robbed)
Let's take it a step at a time: (I'll use simple rounded numbers for illustration purposes)
I get a total of $10 value of Upvotes. At the 7th day, that is still the amount shown, so I expect to get:
$10 less the curator fees of 25% = $7.50 nett
- if I had set it at 100% Powerup, then it should only be in steempower of $7.50 (roughly)
- if I had set it at 50% - 50% Then the money should go half to steempower and half to steem $ (as with the above examples, there should be a small difference due to exchanging from one to the other?)
- For months now, as far as I can see, I am only getting about 25% of the amount showing as due to me.
Here are some screen-copies to show what I am awarded and what I am getting.
This screen copy is from my Blog page, showing the 3 posts I am using as an example plus the 3 payments I received:
Blog:
Payment of Post104
Payment of Post105
Payment of Post106
To recap:
Payments due are : $2.23 + $2.02 + $11.47
Total (roughly) $15.72
What I received are:
LC Post104 (due $2.23 - 25% ($0.56) = about $1.67 - Received SP 0.587
LC Post105 (due $2.02 - 25% ($0.51) = about $1.51 - Received SP 0.533
LC Post106 (due $11.47 - 25% ($2.87 = about $8.50 - Received SP 2.932
Total, a bit over SP 4
As an aside, when payment is set at 50%-50% why are payments received never even close to being so?
It has been like this for months and it is very discouraging - actually, hardly worth posting at all.
If you can explain to me why it is as above, great...if not, but you know who can, please pass on their name so that I can ask them.
If the same is happening to you, then please add a comment, saying so, so that I can notify you to come take a look, once I have been advised.

EDIT:
A big thank you to everyone who responded, but especially to
At least I now have some idea of how it works and maybe I'll be able to slightly increase what I actually receive in the future.
I admit I did not understand the explanation in the White Paper, whereas I now do. Explaining for non-coders and newbies does take talent and those who responded have done well for all of us.
