It was a shit show non stop yesterday from him.
On one hand he is calling out everything wrong in Crypto, on another he is delivering the doom and gloom in the exact ways he is criticizing. He either is going out of the way to make a point (I doubt it) or wallowing in the mud he is famous for. If that was not a crew of his student advisees just getting drunk on twitter, that would not surprise me either.
