Real talk here guys: literally one Steemit post changed my life forever.
Yesterday I posted about a case of plagiarism that was blown wide open the other day. I didn't think much of it - I thought it was an interesting story about how well the Steemit community polices itself.
Today I sign in to see the post has 406 upvotes and, at the time I'm writing this, is the 5th trending story on the front page.
Holy shit.
That single post - and the Steemit community - has changed my life. I'm baffled, and thankful, and in shocked disbelief all at once.
Before yesterday I was a struggling writer who knew less than nothing about crypto, desperate to keep a roof over my family's head. I was worried where the money to pay the next electric bill was going to come from.
Those worries are now gone.
Steemit has irrevocably changed my world for the better. I can never begin to show my gratitude. The best way is to give back to this community, one that has already given me so much, is by re-investing in it and continuing to do my best to contribute content that the community deems valuable.
