Hi ladies and gents, so this is my first real post, my introduction not included and as the title suggets I was wondering weather to proceed with caution or throw it to the wind?
I started getting to work writing an article recently, uploading a few pictures, tinkering with the HTML to make it look like a nice polished piece, when I had a second thought about my images.
I had a look around before I hit post and found many people using images from here, there and everywhere, which is what I had initially did, leaving links to my source images etc, when I stopped and wondered if this is okay since the content here may be monetised?
So how careful do we have to be?
Has anyone or even Steemit received any threats from big mean faceless corporations or lawyers wanting blood??
Would it be okay to just borrow images from wherever so long as links are provided to the source material???
My previous post was going to be about a big upcoming boxing match, yet there are no images available on places like Pixabay and most of the images for current events are located with mainstream media or large organisations that the average Joe simply couldn't afford to take on. So what should one do in these cases????
I'd be really interested to know in the comments if anyone really worries about these things or is it just me and possibly any solutions you guys have.
Thanks in advance.
Burty 😎
