Anyone who knows me knows I love autovoting my peeps (the ones I can count on to provide awesome content, but aren't yet making obscene amounts of money like a whale.) If you frequently see my upvote, but I don't comment every single time, it means I'm probably autovoting you. ;)
I also love manually upvoting people I'm not following if their post moves me in some way.
However, since the rollout of HF19, I have not had decent voting power. My votes drain so darn fast...and it's frustrating me that it never gets anywhere close to 100%.
Even at the time of the screenshot below, my voting power is a measly 29.38% and will get you maybe $0.03 if you're lucky. How is that going to help anyone? As a minnow, a 100% upvote is pretty much the only choice I have in order to make any kind of impact -- and I would only be allotted 10 of those per day assuming that my voting power ever gets up to full power.
For this reason and perhaps a few others, I'm going to take a little break from upvoting EVERYONE so I can recharge. I'm not even going to upvote my own posts or my son's. I also want to use the time to regroup, reassess my autovote list (perhaps remove most -- maybe all, of the whales and add some other minnows I admire.) After all, the whales don't need my help! I think we minnows should be helping each other. There is some whale content I do enjoy, and will manually upvote it (very selectively) after I have recharged.
No upvoting for a few days will also help me come up with some extra post ideas for myself, as I will continue making posts during my recharge. I do well with solitude. :)
The point of this post is to communicate what is going on with me. If you're used to seeing my upvotes and then suddenly don't see them, this is why. I still love you.
