Hello all, now I have a little message for all you Steemit newbies like me out there. So as I've been scrolling through my feed and checking out other people's accounts, it has become clear to me that a lot of people create a Steemit account, write a few posts and then give it up. A couple of weeks ago I created my account and it took a good few days to actually verify it, and after typing in that unnecessarily long password, I was good to go. In other words, it takes a lot of effort to create a Steemit account.
So, why go to all that effort just to give it up a few days later?
Clearly these people heard from their friends or family, or perhaps an online advertisement that you can earn big cash on Steemit. Of-course after posting for the first time and only earning 1 cent, or perhaps 2, they were a little disappointed. You see, people want instant gratification. That's why there are so many, 'abandoned,' or, 'non-active,' Steemit accounts. These people are too lazy to actively join the community and build a following. These things ultimately will get you more upvotes and therefore more Steem dollars.
Due to this sheer laziness, these Steemians (or should I say ex-steemians probably didn't even bother to put any effort into their one or two first posts. What really bugs me is people post say just a picture, or a sentence. They give their 'posts,' if you could even call them that, no originality and then expect to get paid for them... I don't think so.
Let me recap, if you're a Steemit Newbie:
- DON'T GIVE UP
- COMMENT AND FOLLOW OTHER USERS
- POST REGULARLY - YOU WILL GAIN A FOLLOWING
- WRITE GOOD CONTENT
Obviously I'm still a relatively new Steemit user myself, so hopefully if I continue to do these things then my blog will grow and flourish. To help me on my way, please upvote, follow and comment if you enjoyed the post. Maybe even resteem if you want to. ;) I mean, what have you got to lose!?
