Dear Steem community,
I love this community, speaking as Hive account@kennybll. But I believe we, as a community, can do greater good in the world. That's why I created Hive account@childfund. I sponsor a child myself, but I think that Steem sponsoring a child will not only be the first, but a great marketing tool while helping children.

Imagine

Okay so imagine if the news got a hold of this, a cryptocurrency, no community collaborated to help sponsor children. We would become more popular because either people want to help, or they see the great atmosphere we create. The children would have support from a big community. A great community.

How

The idea is to create an upvote bot, I know another! But this one will pay 50% of the bids to delegators, and the other 50% will go towards Hive account@kennybll to send the sponsorship bills from.

The nonproft we'll go through is https://www.childfund.org/. Every month we would pay $33 to sponsor the child. When letters come in, from the child, we will write them out on here, and any upvote profits will go towards the funds to continue the sponsorship. We will also ask in a post what the community wants to say to the child. We will then compile all the suggestions together (that are appropriate) and ask for final approval in another post. We will then send out the letter.

Ways To Help

Two ways to help are delegations which will earn you a share of 50% of profits based on the amount you delegate, and sending in bids to get upvoted. The more delegations we get the more we can bids we can serve and the more we have to sponsor the child.

Methods

We will use Hive account@yabapmatt's postpromoter software to run the bot. Then when we send in the sponsorship funds we will buy a $100 Visa Gift Card from steem.cards to pay with. We will pay quarterly.

Budgets Proposal

We would like to propose to get 100 Steem from Hive account@budgets that way we have backup funds if income is slow. We will also use $100 of it to start the sponsorship. We will keep the rest in reserves. Hive account@kennybll will oversee everything, and I already have one person wanting to delegate. This project adds value to steem because it helps bring up the worlds future leaders. And if they know about steem and cryptocurrencies, it may shape the future for it. Plus sponsoring children is always good, because they don't always get to be privileged with things we have. In addition childfund also sponsor's the community, so if they know it's the steem community sponsoring their children then we would have great promo in those areas and it would spread by word of mouth.
