Okay. Okay. I get it. You are poor. News flash I had to ask three charities to help me with rent this month. Begging for Steem is not how you are going to get rich quick.
Let’s talk about developing resources and tools to grow ourselves into mean, lean, money earning machines.
First, and foremost, if you are here – you have access to a computer of some sort and the World Wide Web. Step one is complete.
Education? Skills? Languages? Guess what, you can work from home, but you may need to develop your personal skills such as not begging for CC. I want to blow off a little steem – STOP begging, it is painful to watch and does not improve your life any.
There are ways to learn about being a better person. You have access to the internet – READ like your life depended on it because guess what? IT DOES.
I am working on developing life skills courses – the only one up right now is Parenting During a Crisis, but if this applies to you – find Not Shakespeare’s School right here.
You can learn about other spiritual beings or cultures, such as Gurudev – it is amazing what you can learn from such folks. Or study Zen.
Once the begging stops, if you need more education, there are sites that range from MIT’s OCW to Udemy to Coursera. Take the free one’s first, but as you grow and earn, investing in your education is essential.
If you are already blessed with skills or a great education, then USE them. Please. There are amazing websites that help you become a freelance ANYTHING. Whether it is graphic design or editing or research, these sites can get you moving forward:
And of course, there are the blogs. Blogs. Blogs about working remotely as well. Skillcrush has a great article about websites that have remote work. Especially, if you feel freelance is not for you.
Don’t forget that Apple is always hiring customer service and tech type agents -- these are mainly US based. You can work from home, if you meet their standards and have the things on their list, such as a room for an office and certain internet requirements.
Then of course you could write a book. Because who does not want to write a book. The best place for this is Smashwords. Don’t forget you need to have amazing editing skills or hire someone. Follow their formatting guide!!! You do that and you get a free ISBN and pushing to about 8 or more distributors, including BN and Amazon. That is nice start right there.
After all that is said and done, if I can go from zero to at least having a good roof over my family’s head – then everyone can put their best foot forward. Sometimes it is just getting to the right person with the right pieces of information.
You got this. Make some Steem. Find your calling. Read a book.
Plant a seed. Watch it grow.
