Becoming a Steemit Witness - Hive account@corenet

Well, we are thinking, now for more than a year, to become a Steemit Witness. This sounds easy to say, but, really it is a lot difficult to become a Steemit Witness.

The technical part and setting up Steemit Witness nodes are easy. That is not an issue. The issue is to do it in productive and cost-effective way. The issue is how to ensure it will be productive business wise. It should not be a loss to manage and maintain it.

5.5 million votes

When I look at https://steemd.com/witnesses , it tells me that we will need at least 5.5 million votes to be among top 100 witnesses. It does not look realistic for an unknown and new person to expect to get over 5.5 million votes... It may never happen... That is the point that is stopping me....
