I don't really have much to offer steemit so I'm just gonna be me and make my random small blog posts.
I wonder what Steemit has to offer to the everyday person who is not a professional blogger. I notice there is a lot of games to make a little extra steem/sbd/steempower by playing. Those seem to be fun for now although the payouts are small. With facebook though you don't feel the need to make great posts. You just post about whatever it is that you feel like. I do like the idea of making money from your posts but what is in it for the little guy who just wants to share their pictures with family or just how their day went.
I know eventually this site may be including ads. I wonder if there is going to be a kickback for the everyday person who is just browsing along on steemit. Possibly getting paid just for viewing blogs? I understand that some ads pay by the view so wouldn't it make a good idea for those who view these ads while browsing get a little kickback.
I don't see myself jumping into writing a blog about something I know little about. I really don't think I would have much to add as far as high value content. Most of the time I am just resharing videos I find on the web to share them with the people I know.
So if anyone has some advice or can see into the future, what is going to be a benefit of having my family and friends join steemit. There is already full featured social media sites that have had time to stuff in all the little things people enjoy.
Here is a small list of things I would like to see here at steemit that would really draw in a crowd that is not into all the crypto world.
- On site uploading of pictures and videos.
- A place in everyones profile where you can see their personally owned pictures and video
- Incentive for the everyday user (curation rewards seem so low when you have little steempower so just by simply liking things you would only get fractions of a cent weekly at this point.)
- A more user friendly post gui.
- A simple place to spend your steem. (steemit store would be nice)
- Possibly a better app for android. Something that is just more user friendly.
I notice we are still in beta here so I'm sure many of these ideas are in production or being considered. If anyone has some info of what to look for in the near future or why you think more "normal" user base would enjoy steemit place reply bellow.
