The Australian-NZ Community is officially born and will now be coordinated from our new home on Discord.

The Big News

Today, we are extremely excited to announce the public launch of the the Steemit South Pacific Community, which will be the new home for Australian and Kiwi bloggers on the Steemit platform. The idea was born when Hive account@ravenruis and my humble self realized there is no easy way to connect to fellow Kiwi's on Steemit. Our initiative was soon joined by Hive account@gohba.handcrafts and Hive account@ausbitbank, the Australian community representatives, who had a similar vision in mind for an easy point of meeting, collaboration and coordination for Australian Steemians. And so the mighty South Pacific Steemit union was born! After thorough discussions, brainstorming and planning we are finally proud to present the new South Pacific Community home on our Discord Central Station.

Purpose

The main purpose of the Steemit South Pacific Community is to provide a place for fellow Australian and Kiwi Steemians connect and support bloggers. We aim to build a place that encourages mutual support and growth on the platform. A place where Steemians can gather crypto-related information and feedback on their content - alongside easy-going chat and friendly banter. We want to help newcomers make friends and meaningful connections and also grow as bloggers and content creators. We want to help everyone make and shape the kind of Steemit we all want - a place to exchange high-quality content and therefore, we will make sure that there is no space for harassment and spam on our server.

Our community admins and moderators, including myself, will be looking out to keep our channels free of spam and reward especially good South Pacific content and curate it.

The Discord will serve as a place to:

Get to know fellow Steemians & make friends
Discuss anything related to Steemit and beyond
Help newbies and minnows navigate around
Get mutual support and feedback
Exchange info on cryptos and blockchain, especially local info
Get updates on the community
Promote Australian and Kiwi posts
