Today, I am very happy to announce the release of a dedicated Teamnz bot that will support all Kiwi Steemians.
Dolly - The friendly Kiwi bot
You heard that right! Teamnz now has a curation bot that scans the STEEM blockchain for #teamnz tagged blog posts, leaves a comment and votes on them. After running serveral tests and fixing bugs, this week we finally achieved a stable run for 96 hours without crashes or missed blocks, so it is safe to say that the Teamnz bot is ready to kick some ass! I'm sure the bot has already said hello to you on of your posts? If not (and you are a Kiwi) please include #teamnz as one of your Blog Post tags to get that sweet bot vote :)
Technical Info
I am hosting the bot on a robust remote Node-js server and pulling the data to a log file, monitoring votes, performance and possible issues. The bot is currently being summoned 5 times per day on average. Not too bad Kiwis!
Known Issues
Currently, the bot will comment on the post a second time, if you update it. I will patch this issue during the week by querying the comments on the post. However, since it won't unvote the post, or vote twice this is not critical for it's performance.
Spam prevention
When dealing with bots the issue of Spam prevention has to be addressed. Currently, the amount of performed operations in the community allow easy monitoring through the server logs. When the daily usage starts to grow and malicious tag-abuse of the bot starts to arise - I will take the following action: I will implement a blacklist, which will prevent spammers from calling the bot. If this too becomes unmanageble, I will implement a whitelist, so only teamnz can summon the bot. (Every Kiwi can register via Discord to become a member, this will only be done to prevent spam.)
Call for Help
Now it's your call: The bot is operating and doing his thing, but he is weak and need some SP-fuel to make that upvote count.
Why don't you give him a little love to help everyone in the community?
There are 2 ways in which you can contribute.
1. Delegation
A delegation is a lease of Steem Power. That means that you allow the bot to use some of your Steem Power to execute votes, by weakening your own voting power. The delegation is not permanent - It can be revoked and taken back any time by you and will be returned to account within 7 days!
The easiest way to do this is to construct a URL with Steemconnect and then paste it into your browser! This is the correct format:
https://steemconnect.com/sign/delegateVestingShares?delegator=YOURUSERNAME&delegatee=BOTUSERNAME&vesting_shares=AMOUNT%20SP
STEP 1
Fill out the details! For example this is how I would delegate 20 SP to :
https://steemconnect.com/sign/delegateVestingShares?delegator=cryptonik&delegatee=teamnz&vesting_shares=20%20SP
STEP 2
Copy the constructed link into the address bar:
STEP 3
Complete the operation using a secure authorization with Steemconnect!
2. Curation Trail
Following a curation trail means that you will follow the bot and copy his votes. Every time he votes, you will vote too.
We have setup a curation trail on Steemauto. On steemauto you can also set the percentage of your vote weight, and set the limit on how far your voting power can be depleted.
Make an account on https://steemauto.com and follow
!

Appreciation
At this point I would like to say a big thank you to and
for helping me out with eliminating outstanding bugs and being super awesome humans.
Secondly, to and
for being the first ones to follow the
curation trail. Thank you, guys!
I hope we can get some more support and spread some love among the Kiwis on Steemit :)
