My mother asked me today what I would like to drink. Lately she always gives me a thin mix of coffee so it doesn't taste as good as she makes it before although we only use instant coffee over here. I told her to give me a cup with a stronger mix and so she went closer unto me because she can't understand me on what I am saying at first. So I have to tell her three times with a little more louder voice each time.
Last week as I am fixing my debit card issue to the bank, the staff just went up from her seat and like my mother above, gets closer to me to hear what I am answering about her question which is about the source of my funds for my debit card. I told her that I was doing an online trading and what she heard was "Online Training." The same happened when some frriend asked where was my mother, I told him that she went out but he heard the she went to the city.
And so it frustrates me conversing with people now especially other people outside my family but it also includes my father. And I noticed that I am realy hard to be understood when I am speaking. Try speaking with tennis balls in your mouth and lets see how other people here you. It is really a hard life living with such speech disability.
It adds a reason for me not to get social with friends and lately, my relatives who visited our home and I find it pointless to speak if I would not have the ability to convey my message to the other person. This is something I cannot control now unless my gums would stop enlarging and I hope it would stop I will not be able to speak as the space in my mouth is very limited and I just pray that my mouth problem will not aggravate as my fateful days go by.
