Hi again. I made a new avatar tonight and because it's hard to see whats going on, I figured I'd explain it to the few that see this. Here's the big version:
Now, I've been wanting to make a new one for quite a while as my original avatar was up there for almost a year now. I had an idea to make the each "S" shape of the Steemit logo out of some appropriate colored things I've seen on our travels; so that's what I did! I'll start with the left one and move to the right.
^^^ The first "S" is cropped out from this photograph, and it's a very special one to me. I took this photo of Avalanche Creek in Glacier National Park. I was overwhelmed. I've never saw anything like it before... shit, I didn't even know it was possible. I've seen blue ocean water in the tropics before, but never a cold, flowing creek in the middle of the country. It was incredible and remains in my top 2 life/travel experiences. The color was just right for one of the darker colored outer "S" shapes of the logo.
^^^ The middle "S" was cropped out of this photograph that I took at the Svinafell glacier in southeastern Iceland. It's actually a tongue that comes off of the Vatnajökull Glacier, the largest glacier in Europe. The light, powder blue ice seemed like a perfect fit for the color of the middle "S".
^^^ The last "S" was cropped out of this photograph. I took this inside of a glacial ice cave in the Vatnajökull Glacier that I just mentioned. It was awesome. I tried to capture the trapped air bubbles and how you could see them deep inside the ice as they were visible for a good 8 feet or more into the wall. It didn't really translate well in the photo. Still neat, and a great darker blue color for the last "S"!
So then, that's that. Now you know what my little Steemit logo avatar consists of. It's like you're a part of an exclusive club now. If anyone happens to really like it, please feel free to use it for whatever you'd like - no strings attached! 🙂 You can even use the imagine address from this very post, I'd imagine. Okay, that's all for now. Thanks for reading!
