Steemit, Changing lives on a daily basis!

Welcome fellow Steemians!

I am a relatively new member and joined the world of Steemit in March of this year, since joining I have become immersed within this wonderful and diverse community.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank a community I found on Steemit called @ADSactly who have been very helpful and although I have only joined both Steemit and @ADSactly recently I have to say that the positivity, and willingness to help other Steemians on their own journey has been amazing.

One of the most incredible things about this platform is that it is changing lives on a daily basis. I have read posts from people all around he world, many of whom have had their lives directly effected by Steemit in a major way, wether it be funds to pay for schooling or income that allows them to provide for their family.

My understanding is that the standard for many years has been that a company running a particular site would monetise their users, with the way that Steemit rewards its users I’m sure many of you feel the same.. this is a huge game changer and as aforementioned

I believe that with more and more people coming aboard everyday it is only a matter of time where Steemit will render platforms like Facebook and sites of a similar nature to be completely obsolete... I mean why would you use something that makes money from you hand over fist, without sharing the benefits with you rather than one that rewards the user for adding content valuable to its own success.
